WI vs PAK 2025 2nd T20I Match Results
Updated:West Indies beat Pakistan by 2 wickets.

Jason Holder put on a one-man show in Florida, and what a performance it was! He snagged four crucial wickets, caught everything in sight, and then because that wasn’t enough, smashed the winning runs off the final ball against Shaheen Afridi. Talk about clutch. West Indies chased down 134 with just two wickets left, leveling the series in style. Holder’s last-ball heroics had fans on their feet and Pakistan scratching their heads, wondering how they let this one slip.
What a day for Jase!

Things weren’t looking peachy for the Windies early on. Pakistan’s spinners were on fire, and the chase got real tricky real fast. Shai Hope struggled to get going, and wickets kept tumbling. But Gudakesh Motie chipped in with a handy 28, and Holder just… held everything together (pun intended). Even when he was stranded at the non-striker’s end in those tense final overs, he kept his cool. When it came down to three runs off one ball, he sliced it through fine leg and sealed a win that was as wild as it was well-earned.

WI vs PAK 2025 2nd T20I – A Ground Perfect for Explosive Batting, Which Player Will Be Key?
In the previous article about the WI vs PAK series, we mentioned that both teams have recently seen key players retire. While replacements have been found, when it comes to a ground like Central Broward, which suits explosive players, it’s not just about steady runs from the batting unit. The team also heavily depends on players who are bold enough to take on the boundaries and hit sixes. So, let’s take a look at which players from both sides could make the difference in this match.
WI vs PAK – Mohammad Haris in Red-Hot Form
Haris, 24, debuted in T20 cricket in 2019 with Karachi Kings in the PSL, and his T20I debut came in April 2022 against South Africa. While his early performances weren’t as flashy as some rookies, he has steadily improved and is becoming a key player for Pakistan. In his last five T20I matches, his average SR has been above 145. Notably, in the June 1st match against Bangladesh, he scored 107 off just 46 balls, remaining unbeaten and winning the MVP of the match. As a power hitter, Haris is expected to be a key player for Pakistan in this game.

WI vs PAK – Can Rovman Powell Step Up After Pooran’s Retirement?
Since Nicholas Pooran’s retirement, West Indies have struggled to find a consistent power hitter. While some believe Rovman Powell could fill that role, his ability to consistently perform in the middle order is yet to be proven. That said, Powell, a power hitter, is well-suited for Central Broward, and with his experience, he’s a player to watch. In his last five matches, Powell averaged a solid SR of 129.8, which is impressive for a middle-order batsman. Notably, three of those matches were against England. On June 10th, Powell, batting at No. 6 against England, scored an outstanding 79 runs, showing his potential in big moments.

Mohammad Haris’ Batting Stats from the Last Five Matches

WI vs PAK 2025 2nd T20I – Venue History&Analysis: Central Broward Regional Park Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 25,000 spectators
Stadium Address: 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill, FL 33311, USA
About the Stadium:
The Central Broward Cricket Stadium is a batsman-friendly venue with a shortest boundary of 55-60 meters and a dry pitch that offers consistent bounce and low pace. This makes it easier for batsmen to predict the ball’s trajectory, allowing power hitters to clear the boundary. Even technically skilled batsmen can score big. However, chasing teams should be cautious as the pitch becomes uneven as the game progresses, making it harder to chase runs. A prime example is the August 2016 match between West Indies and India. West Indies scored 245 runs, and India, despite a strong start, struggled to chase it down due to difficult conditions, ending with 244 runs and losing by 1 run.

In that match, West Indies’ Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles opened the innings with an incredible partnership of 179 runs. Although the middle-order couldn’t sustain the momentum and added only 66 more runs, they still set a new record for the highest score at the ground, with 245. On the other hand, India got off to a good start with Rohit Sharma scoring a half-century, and KL Rahul’s explosive 51-ball 110 was a highlight. But despite these performances, India couldn’t maintain the pace throughout the innings, and even though they set the second-highest total on the ground with 244, they ran out of balls and lost the match by a narrow margin.
