United Arab Emirates T20I Tri-Series 2025 2nd Match Result
Updated:Pakistan beat United Arab Emirates by 31 runs.
| Pakistan | United Arab Emirates |
| 207 (20) | 176/8 (20) |
Pakistan made it two wins in two days with a lively 31-run win over UAE in Sharjah, thanks to some explosive batting up top. Saim Ayub was in full beast mode early on, smashing a 38-ball 69, while Hasan Nawaz picked up the pace later with a brutal 56 off just 26 balls. Even when things got a bit shaky in the middle, Pakistan’s lower order chipped in just enough to push the total to a healthy 207. That finishing burst, 44 runs in the last four overs, really shut the door on UAE’s chances before their chase had even begun.

UAE gave it a good crack, especially with Asif Khan going full send in the back end of the innings. His 77 off 35 balls was pure carnage, but the damage was already done by then. Waseem had offered a fiery start but fell to a mix-up, and once that window shut, Pakistan’s bowlers tightened the screws. Hasan Ali made up for a rough day with the ball by grabbing three wickets, and Ayub wasn’t done either; he chipped in with the ball to seal the deal. All in all, it was a clinical show from Pakistan, while UAE had to settle for silver linings.
Pakistan make it two wins on the trot in the T20I tri-series 👏

UAE vs PAK 2025 2nd Match – A battle between two home teams
Afghanistan and Pakistan once again lock horns in Sharjah. These two sides have met here in four T20Is, sharing the honours with two wins each. Looking at the recent record, Afghanistan claimed a 2-1 series win in 2023.
UAE vs PAK – Head to Head record
As mentioned earlier, both teams can call Sharjah their home ground, yet they have never clashed here. The main reason is the gap in strength. Pakistan usually stay around the 8th position in world rankings, while UAE hover near the 15th. This difference made fixtures difficult at international level. So far, they have met only once in T20 internationals, during the 2016 Asia Cup. Pakistan relied on Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik who added 113 runs, chasing with ease to finish on 131 for 3. Since then they have not met again, and even after nine years the gap has hardly changed. The outcome this time is expected to be the same.

UAE vs PAK – Recent T20I form
Pakistan’s recent T20I run has been steady, with three wins and two losses in their last five matches against West Indies and Bangladesh. UAE also have three wins and two losses, but the opposition strength is not comparable, so the results carry less weight. A player worth noting is UAE’s young opener Muhammad Zohaib. He has played only nine T20Is but looked promising, averaging 28 in his last five matches. He can also contribute with some off-spin, which adds value. For a newcomer, it is already an encouraging start.

UAE vs PAK – Conclusion
To conclude, this tri-series hosted by UAE is more about gaining valuable experience by competing against stronger international sides. At the end of the series, it is quite likely that UAE will end with zero wins out of four matches. In reality, the team is here mainly to learn and build for the future.

UAE vs PAK 2025 2nd Match – Venue History&Analysis: Sharjah Cricket Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 39,000 spectators
Stadium Address: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Second Industrial Street, Industrial Area 5, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
About the Stadium:
Sharjah Cricket Stadium is a paradise for spin bowlers. The boundaries are short, but the pitch is slow, making it tough for batters to score freely against quality spinners. If a fast bowler is not accurate with his line and length or cannot vary the pace well, he is likely to be punished by the batters. Due to these pitch conditions, the average scoring at Sharjah in T20 internationals is low. Statistics show the average first innings score is around 142, while the second innings average is about 120. Any team posting more than 170 runs here is almost certain to win.

Since Sharjah has always carried the reputation of being a low scoring ground, one cannot forget the Asia Cup 2022 clash between Pakistan and Hong Kong. It was the sixth Group A match where Hong Kong were bundled out for just 38 runs in 11 overs, giving Pakistan a thumping win by 155 runs. The gulf in class between the two sides was the major factor, but the conditions at Sharjah also gave spinners a huge edge. All five Pakistani bowlers finished with an economy under 3.5, while Mohammad Nawaz stood out with an economy of 2.50 and three wickets. This shows how completely Pakistan dominated Hong Kong and highlights the big advantage spinners enjoy at this ground.
