United Arab Emirates T20I Tri-Series 2025 4th Match Result
Updated:Afghanistan beat Pakistan by 18 runs.
| Afghanistan | Pakistan |
| 169/5 (20) | 151/9 (20) |
Afghanistan turned up the heat in Sharjah and spun their way to a thrilling 18-run win over Pakistan! It all started with a rock-solid 113-run stand between Ibrahim Zadran and Sediqullah Atal, both cracking half-centuries while the rest of the Afghan lineup took the day off. Faheem Ashraf did his best to keep things tight, grabbing 4 wickets in a tidy spell, but Afghanistan still posted a tricky 169. Pakistan probably felt decent about their chances, especially with dew in the mix… but then the Afghan spinners showed up.
.@iFaheemAshraf delivers a brilliant spell as Afghanistan finish on 169-5.

Fazalhaq Farooqi got things rolling with a golden duck, and from there it was a spin masterclass. Nabi, Rashid, and Noor Ahmad spun a web no one in green could escape. Wickets kept tumbling, runs dried up, and Pakistan’s chase went from hopeful to hopeless in a flash. Haris Rauf added some late fireworks with an unbeaten 34 off 16, but the damage was done. Afghanistan’s bowlers owned the night, and with that, a well-earned, feel-good victory was theirs.
𝐀𝐟𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐧! 🙌#AfghanAtalan have put on a clinical bowling performance to successfully defend their total and win the game by 18 runs. @rashidkhan_19 (2/30), @noor_ahmad_15 (2/20), @MohammadNabi007 (2/20), and @fazalfarooqi10 (2/21) all produced excellent… pic.twitter.com/FOTQNead9d

PAK vs AFG 2025 4th Match – Pakistan against Afghanistan a dress rehearsal for the Final?
In this tri-nation series hosted by UAE, very few would disagree that these two sides look destined to meet in the summit clash. With the gulf in strength so evident, UAE will be more than happy if they can manage even a single victory.
PAK vs AFG – Pakistan take an early lead 1–0
Last week these two teams met in the opening encounter where Pakistan won by 39 runs. You can check the details in the AFG vs PAK 2025 1st Match report, but to summarise, eight batters crossed double figures with a strike rate of 152.23. Skipper Salman Agha was the standout, scoring an unbeaten 53 off 36 balls. Except for Hasan Nawaz, who made only 9, the rest contributed steadily. The bowling too was spot on, especially Haris Rauf who bagged four wickets. Pakistan’s busy T20I calendar this year has clearly sharpened their game. The only question is whether Afghanistan can bounce back, for if Pakistan maintain this level, their results will remain strong.

PAK vs AFG – Afghanistan still struggling to adapt
After an eight-month break from international cricket, Afghanistan’s rhythm was always going to be affected. Their eleven players managed a combined batting strike rate of only 80.45. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and captain Rashid Khan together scored 77 runs, but the rest failed to provide support. Rashid’s quickfire 39 from 16 balls, including one four and five sixes, could not alter the outcome. Their bowlers too were expensive with an economy rate touching 9.01. The only consolation is that they still have three matches to regain form, and playing UAE might give them the breathing space they need without the risk of losing confidence too quickly.

PAK vs AFG – Conclusion
Going by current form, I expect Afghanistan to lose this game as well, though the margin should be narrower than in the first match. The real focus has to be the Final. After four outings in the series, Afghanistan may not return to peak levels, but they should regain at least 80 to 90 percent of their strength, which could make the title clash far more competitive.
PAK vs AFG 2025 4th Match – Venue History&Analysis: Sharjah Cricket Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 39,000 spectators
Stadium Address: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Second Industrial Street, Industrial Area 5, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
About the Stadium:
Sharjah Cricket Stadium is one of the most famous neutral venues in the world and is recognised as the ground that has hosted the highest number of ODIs. Its story is closely tied to Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, founder of the Bukhatir Group, who in 1982 convinced the authorities to provide land and personally funded the stadium, driven by his love for cricket and regret that Sharjah had no live matches. More than his own wish to watch the game, he created the Cricketers Benefit Fund Series, where part of the earnings after expenses went to well-known retired or senior international players.

Bukhatir’s intention was not only to bring fame to Sharjah Cricket Stadium but also to support those players who had served their countries with distinction yet were left struggling after retirement, as cricket earnings were meagre in those days and proper pension systems were lacking. With this noble idea, he kept organising invitational and benefit tournaments. As a result, from 1984 to 2003, CBFS alone staged as many as 203 matches at Sharjah. This is the very reason why Sharjah Cricket Stadium went on to become the ground with the highest number of ODI matches in the world.
