Pakistan wrapped up their T20I series in style, cruising past Bangladesh by 74 runs in the final game! Sahibzada Farhan came out blazing, smashing 63 off just 41 balls with five sixes and six fours, talking about setting the tone early. He and Saim Ayub stitched up a fiery 82-run opening stand before Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Nawaz added the fireworks at the end, lifting Pakistan to a solid 178 for 7, which is the highest T20I total in Mirpur since 2021!
Series win for Bangladesh! A 2-1 series victory to remember for Bangladesh.

Then came the real carnage. Enter Salman Mirza. The debutant quick tore through Bangladesh’s top order like a hot knife through butter, leaving them reeling at 34 for 6. Only Saifuddin offered any resistance with a gritty 35*, but the rest of the lineup crumbled. Pakistan’s bowlers shared the fun, and by the end, it was a complete team show. After a shaky start to the series, Pakistan found their rhythm when it mattered most.

BAN vs PAK 2025 3rd T20I – Is There Truly No Chance for Bangladesh to Win?
To be frank, I do believe that Bangladesh’s chances of winning the entire series are quite slim. However, playing at home always gives an edge. The familiarity with the conditions, coupled with the fact that Bangladesh’s playing style is well suited to the surface at Shere Bangla Stadium, means that winning one or two matches is certainly within reach. So, let us have a look at what Bangladesh can do to improve their chances.

BAN vs PAK – Targeting the Weak Spots with Full Intensity
We shall not go into too much detail about the batting strategy here. It will likely be the usual approach, aiming for sixes when possible and rotating the strike smartly. What we will focus on instead is the bowling and defensive mindset. Based on the likely line-up, I expect Pakistan to field six key batters: Salman Agha, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, Sahibzada Farhan, and their captain Shadab Khan. So the strategy here will be focused on these six. The primary plan must be to disturb their rhythm and keep the pressure high at all times.
Let us begin with Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, and Mohammad Haris. All three are known for their aggressive mindset and are heavily reliant on predicting the bowler’s line and length. This makes them vulnerable to variations in pace. Bowlers must mix it up with slower balls, cutters, and off-pace deliveries. The goal is to break their timing and rhythm so they are forced into errors while trying to attack without clarity.

Next, we come to Salman Agha and Sahibzada Farhan. Both are relatively new faces at the international level, having played less than ten T20Is each. The way to deal with them is simple: do not allow them the space or time to settle in. Keep switching between fast deliveries and slower ones, forcing them to react quickly without thinking too much. The fielding setup should also be tight, cutting down singles and putting doubt in their minds when it comes to running between the wickets. Dismissing them quickly is not necessary, as long as they are not scoring freely.

Lastly, we have captain Shadab Khan. There is no easy plan against him. The best one can do is to place fielders strategically based on his hitting zones and try to contain his scoring rate. If you can keep him quiet, the pressure will build naturally. Once again, it is not always about getting him out early, keeping him from scoring fast is often just as effective. In the end, it all comes down to how well the Bangladeshi bowlers can execute the plan and how smartly the batters perform under home conditions.

T20I career batting stats of Pakistan batters

| Player | Matches | AVG | SR |
| Salman Agha | 14 | 27.90 | ≈ 116.13 |
| Fakhar Zaman | 92 | 22.81 | ≈ 132.94 |
| Saim Ayub | 30 | 27.67 | ≈ 143.29 |
| Mohammad Haris | 9 | 23.22 | ≈ 145.60 |
| Sahibzada Farhan | 9 | 9.55 | ≈ 95.55 |
| Shadab Khan | 104 | 17.87 | ≈ 139.71 |
BAN vs PAK 2025 3rd T20I – Venue History&Analysis: Shere Bangla National Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 25,000 spectators
Stadium Address: Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, 1216, 2/3 Mirpur Road, Mirpur 10, Dhaka 1216, Bangladesh
About the Stadium:
Sher-e-Bangla Stadium started hosting international matches only in 2006, but its facilities and records are definitely not less than many well-known international cricket grounds. For instance, in 2009, the stadium had a big upgrade with many modern facilities added at once. Because of this, during the 2011 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, it was chosen as the stadium with the best dressing rooms among the 14 main venues. Although this may not seem like a very big record, it clearly shows how much care and attention Bangladesh has put into the stadium.

Besides that, Sher-e-Bangla is now ranked among the top 10 century-producing cricket venues in the world. Up to 2024, the stadium has hosted 177 international matches. A total of 103 players have scored centuries here, with 49 centuries in Test matches, 53 in One Day Internationals, and 1 in T20 Internationals. The only T20I century was made by Bangladesh’s legendary cricketer Shakib Al Hasan. Also, among these 103 century-makers, there is one special player who stands out. She is Fargana Hoque from the Bangladesh Women’s ODI team, and she is the only female player among all these century-makers.
