United Arab Emirates T20I Tri-Series 2025 Final Match Result
Updated:Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 75 runs.
| Pakistan | Afghanistan |
| 141/8 (20) | 66 (15.5) |
What a wild ride in Sharjah! Pakistan posted what looked like a modest 141 for 8, with no batter crossing 30, and the pitch doing all kinds of tricks. But just when it seemed like the game might get tight, Mohammad Nawaz turned up and flipped the script. He smashed a quick 25, then absolutely torched Afghanistan’s lineup with an outrageous 5 for 19, including a hat-trick! Afghanistan crumbled to just 66, handing Pakistan a thumping 75-run win and the tri-series trophy.

The drama started early when Shaheen Afridi removed Gurbaz, and it only got worse for Afghanistan. Nawaz came in and immediately caused chaos, four wickets in six balls, including some flight, guile, and pure magic. Even Rashid Khan couldn’t save the day, though he did try with the ball (and got smacked around for 17 in one over!). In the end, it was all green as Pakistan rolled into the Asia Cup with some serious momentum.

PAK vs AFG 2025 Final Match – Prediction points to Pakistan and Afghanistan
For the UAE tri nation series final, my call is straight that Pakistan and Afghanistan will meet, and I doubt anyone would disagree. With Afghanistan finding their rhythm and Pakistan looking in good touch, the big question is which side will hold their nerve.
PAK vs AFG – Pakistan’s bowling unit
Pakistan’s batting has looked solid, with a strike rate across three matches averaging around 102.86. The numbers are slightly inflated due to games against UAE, but it still shows their batting firepower is there. The concern lies in the bowling. Across three games Pakistan’s bowlers have gone at an economy of 8.42. Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf have both managed four wicket hauls, but not in the same match, and the economy remains on the higher side. For Pakistan to win, their batting must continue firing while Rauf and Ashraf need to be more consistent, and the rest of the bowling group has to chip in to ease the pressure on the batters.

PAK vs AFG – Are the lions truly awake?
Afghanistan’s batters have shown even more aggression with an average strike rate of 120.06 this season. Again, the figures are a bit inflated by matches against UAE, but the firepower is undeniable. Like Pakistan, their weak spot has been the bowling, though Afghanistan look slightly better balanced. Their bowlers have gone at 8.12 runs per over across three games, with captain Rashid Khan steady as ever, though he can only bowl four overs. Support will be crucial from others such as Fazalhaq Farooqi, and if he can tighten his economy along with Mohammad Nabi’s usual control, scoring will become a real challenge for Pakistan.

PAK vs AFG – Conclusion
If both sides keep up the batting intensity and their bowlers hold steady, this final could be a thriller. Yet judging by Afghanistan’s steady improvement through the series, they may just edge Pakistan and lift the UAE tri nation series trophy.
PAK vs AFG 2025 Final Match – Venue History&Analysis: Sharjah Cricket Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 39,000 spectators
Stadium Address: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Second Industrial Street, Industrial Area 5, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
About the Stadium:
As mentioned earlier, Sharjah Cricket Stadium became famous not only for its history but also because of the large South Asian community living in the UAE. After establishing the ground, Abdul Rahman Bukhatir launched the Cricketers Benefit Fund Series, inviting top teams from around the world and drawing thousands of fans from South Asia and across the Gulf to watch their cricketing idols. This gave rise to many unforgettable contests, none bigger than the India Pakistan clash in the 1986 Austral Asia Cup. Though the tournament was staged only three times, that final remains one of the most iconic ODIs ever played.

The reason that game is remembered as a classic is simple. India and Pakistan are traditional rivals, and this was a high stakes final, so the emotions in the stands were electric. India’s top three batters all scored fifties, with Sunil Gavaskar making 92, taking the total to 245, which in those days was a tall score. Pakistan stumbled early, but Javed Miandad steadied the chase and fought till the last delivery. With Pakistan at 242 and four needed, Miandad launched the ball over the ropes for a six. Pakistan finished at 248 for nine, lifting the trophy and scripting not just a famous win but one of the most celebrated sixes in ODI history.
