BAN vs NED 2025 2nd T20I Match Result
Updated:Bangladesh beat Netherlands by 9 wickets.
| Netherlands | Bangladesh |
| 103 (17.3) | 104/1 (13.1) |
Bangladesh made it look way too easy in Sylhet as they cruised past the Netherlands to seal the series 2-0. The Dutch never really got going, bowled out for just 103 with seven batters failing to reach double digits. Nasum Ahmed came in hot with 3 wickets, and Taskin plus Mustafizur chipped in with two each. The fielding was a bit sloppy (a few dropped catches and missed run-outs), but the bowlers more than made up for it.

Chasing 104? Piece of cake. Tanzid Hasan was in cruise control, smashing an unbeaten 54 while Emon added a handy 23. Despite a few early nervy moments, the Tigers wrapped it up in just over 13 overs, which is their third-fastest chase ever in T20Is. With one match to go, Bangladesh are already calling the shots and showing no signs of slowing down.

BAN vs NED 2025 2nd T20I – A Batting Paradise
Sylhet Stadium has always been a ground where the batters enjoy themselves. Even in the middle stages of an innings the bowlers hardly get any assistance, so matches here are mostly about how well the batters perform.
BAN vs NED – Bangladesh Batting in Fine Touch
Bangladesh have been in good form recently, winning four of their last five matches with both bat and ball clicking well. In those four wins, every match saw a different batter scoring a half-century. Jaker Ali made 55 from 48 balls, Parvez Hossain Emon struck 56 from 39, Tanzid Hasan smashed 73 from 47, and skipper Litton Das scored 76 from 50. Except for Jaker Ali, all the others batted at a strike rate above 140. These knocks may not have come against the world’s top four teams, but they were against Sri Lanka and Pakistan who are ranked seventh and eighth. For Bangladesh, ranked tenth, those are still strong opponents and the performances carry weight.

BAN vs NED – The Unsteady Dutch Record
When it comes to the Netherlands, their recent results do not really give much confidence. Apart from Scotland, the other four opponents were sides that are not at the same level. They played against Nepal ranked eighteenth, Jersey ranked twenty-seventh, Italy ranked twenty-eighth, and Guernsey ranked thirty-eighth. These teams have history with the game but hardly any real impact at the international stage. Three of the Dutch wins came against these lower-ranked sides, while they lost to Scotland and also to Nepal. That is why the results do not tell us much about their real strength. To be honest the only name that stands out for the Dutch is opener Max O’Dowd who remains the one to watch.

BAN vs NED – Conclusion
Looking at the balance of things, Bangladesh appear solid in both batting and bowling while the Dutch record hardly gives any confidence. Many would feel the result is quite clear unless the Netherlands find two or more players who can suddenly deliver big performances. Otherwise this tour might end up being only a learning experience for them at the international level.

BAN vs NED 2025 2nd T20I – Venue History&Analysis: Sylhet International Cricket Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 18,500 spectators
Stadium Address: Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Airport Road, Sylhet, Bangladesh
About the Stadium:
Sylhet Stadium is regarded as one of the classic high-scoring venues in Bangladesh and it has always been a happy hunting ground for the batters. The pitch is generally flat which makes the bounce very predictable, and with the soil being firm but not extremely hard, the pace of the ball off the surface is steady. This allows the batters to judge the bounce with ease. On top of that the boundaries are on the shorter side which means even a slightly powerful stroke can comfortably clear the ropes. The outfield is also kept quite short and fast, so the ball races away to the fence quickly, making fours much easier to come by.

The highest team total at this ground came in 2018 when Sri Lanka piled up 210 runs against Bangladesh while losing only six wickets. What stood out was the collective effort rather than one or two stars. The top five batters averaged 39.6 runs, and except for Danushka Gunathilaka all of them struck at over 160. As a unit they batted at a brilliant strike rate of 185.51. Kusal Mendis top scored with 70 and was named Player of the Match, while Dasun Shanaka smashed 30 off just 11 balls at a staggering strike rate of 272.72. Had he faced a few more deliveries, the award might well have been his.
