BAN vs NED 2025 3rd T20I Match Result
Updated:No result due to rain.
| Bangladesh | Netherlands |
| 164/4 (18.2) | – |
The third T20I between Bangladesh and the Netherlands had all the drama, including flashing floodlights, sudden rain, dropped catches, and a blazing start by Litton Das. He came out swinging, smashing 42 off his first 16 balls like he was in turbo mode. But then the rain showed up, and so did the pause button. After the delay, Litton cooled off big time, finishing with a still-solid 73 off 46. Kyle Klein had a rough day, leaking runs like a sieve (53 off four overs), but he did manage to grab three wickets. Just when Bangladesh started to pick up pace again, boom! More rain. Game over. No result. Series goes to Bangladesh 2-0.

For the Dutch, there were glimpses of hope. Their spinners Aryan Dutt and Tim Pringle tightened things up after the break, and suddenly the Bangladesh batters weren’t finding the boundary so easily. Litton got a couple of lives thanks to dropped catches, but overall, the Netherlands kept things much tighter than in the earlier games. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t get the memo. A downpour stopped play in the 19th over with Bangladesh at 164 for 4, and that was that.
Rain washes out the 3rd T20I. 🌧️ Bangladesh seal the series 2–0! 🔥

BAN vs NED 2025 3rd T20I – Bowling Units Under the Lens
Everyone speaks about Sylhet Stadium as a batting paradise, yet both pace and spin have their own role to play here. Let us take a closer look at the bowling strength of the two sides.
BAN vs NED – Bangladesh Impresses Once Again
As I mentioned in the review of the second T20I, Bangladesh have looked solid with both bat and ball. Since these games were against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the performances carry real weight. In their last five matches, the bowlers had a collective economy of 6.74. The overall number is not extraordinary, but a few efforts stand out. Against Pakistan, Mustafizur Rahman gave away only 6 runs in four overs, and against Sri Lanka, Mahedi Hasan took 4 wickets for just 11. One is a left-arm seamer, the other an off-spinner, and together they cover the Powerplay and middle overs. With other bowlers lending support, Bangladesh look well equipped to challenge the Dutch.

BAN vs NED – The Dutch Struggle for Consistency
The Netherlands have mostly faced lower-ranked sides, yet their bowling has not shown control. In the last five games their average economy rate was 7.42. Apart from Michael Levitt, who bowled three overs for three wickets and only 11 runs against Guernsey, there were no real highlights. Another weakness is the number of bowlers used. They averaged 6.6 per match and even used eight against Guernsey. This clearly shows a lack of stability and depth in their attack. On a ground like Sylhet, where the balance can quickly tilt, this problem may get exposed.

BAN vs NED – Conclusion
For Bangladesh there is hardly anything to complain about. Their batting and bowling both look in good shape. For the Netherlands the picture is completely different. Their numbers show inconsistency with both bat and ball, and the lack of bowling depth stands out even more. On a surface like Sylhet, which is always friendly for the batters, if the bowlers cannot keep control, the match could quickly turn into a one-sided affair.
Average bowling economy of both teams in the last five matches
| No | Bangladesh’s | Netherlands’ |
| 1 | 9.63 | 6.85 |
| 2 | 6.25 | 4.61 |
| 3 | 5.06 | 8.64 |
| 4 | 6.83 | 7.72 |
| 5 | 5.94 | 9.28 |
| Acerage | 6.74 | 7.42 |
BAN vs NED 2025 3rd T20I – Venue History&Analysis: Sylhet International Cricket Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 18,500 spectators
Stadium Address: Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Airport Road, Sylhet, Bangladesh
About the Stadium:
Sylhet Stadium is counted among the batting-friendly venues because of its short boundaries and consistent bounce, which make life easier for the stroke makers. However, the numbers tell a slightly different story. In T20 internationals played here the average total has been close to 240, which is well below the global T20I average of around 275. That is why batting-friendly does not always mean a guaranteed high-scoring ground. The best example is from December 2018 when Bangladesh, playing at their own home, registered the lowest total ever at this venue.

That match was the opening T20I of the series against West Indies. Bangladesh could manage only 129 runs before being bowled out. Even though their captain Shakib Al Hasan stood tall with 61 runs, the rest of the batting unit collapsed badly, averaging only 6.8 runs each. The man who destroyed Bangladesh so thoroughly was Sheldon Cottrell. The left-arm quick finished with four wickets for just 28 runs in his four overs, and his impact was such that West Indies chased down the target in less than 11 overs to seal a crushing win.
