Hazlewood’s clutch 15th over broke a key partnership and turned the tide, while Maxwell sealed the deal with a ridiculous boundary catch in the final over. In the end, Australia pulled off their lowest-ever successful T20I defence, winning by 17 runs, and stretching their winning streak to nine straight.

About the Stadium:

Marrara Cricket Ground is a relatively small cricket venue located in Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory in Australia. The ground was completed and opened in 1984, but it wasn’t until 2003 that it hosted its first international match. Due to its size, it cannot be compared to larger stadiums like the MCG, which are iconic in the cricketing world. As of now, the ground has hosted only two Test matches and four ODIs, and it has never seen a T20I match. So, the upcoming match between Australia and South Africa on August 10, 2025, will mark the first-ever T20I at Marrara Cricket Ground.
