The chase wasn’t all sunshine, though. South Africa stumbled to 22 for 2 before Hermann and Rassie van der Dussen dropped anchor. The pair stitched together a match-winning 106-run stand, with van der Dussen finishing unbeaten on 52. Hermann lit up Harare with big hits, but fell just before the end, still, the job was basically done. Zimbabwe’s tri-series is over in all but name, while South Africa and New Zealand are headed to the final with games to spare.

Zimbabwe has never won a single T20I against South Africa, whether at home or away. If we count only ICC recognized international matches, it’s been seven games and all won by the Proteas.
