WI vs NEP 2025 3rd T20I Match Result
Updated:West Indies beat Nepal by 10 wickets

| 122 (19.5) | 123/0 (12.2) |
West Indies crashed Nepal’s party in Sharjah with a dominant, no-nonsense performance that ended in a ten-wicket thumping. After being bowled out for just 122, Nepal’s dream of a whitewash turned into a bit of a nightmare thanks to a fiery Ramon Simmonds (4-15) and some clinical spin work. Despite a few fireworks from Bhurtel including a six onto the roof. Nepal just couldn’t break free from the grip of the West Indies bowlers.

Then came the Jangoo-Auguste show. The West Indies openers didn’t just chase the target; they sprinted to it. Jangoo, with an explosive 74*, went into beast mode, smacking five sixes in his last nine balls, while Auguste coolly backed him up with 41*. By the time they wrapped it up, Nepal were left staring at the scoreboard as West Indies celebrated their first-ever ten-wicket T20I win, and did it with 46 balls to spare!
A win to end the series on a high.🏏#NEPvWI pic.twitter.com/nCiugNcw7K

WI vs NEP 2025 3rd T20I – Nepal’s first bilateral T20I against a Full Member
Nepal earned the right to play official T20 Internationals as early as 2014, yet in the eleven long years that followed they never played a bilateral T20I series against any Full Member side. Their only meetings with the big nations came in World Cups or regional tournaments, so their exposure to the real heavyweights of world cricket has been extremely limited.
WI vs NEP – First real test against a T20I powerhouse
Since getting T20I status in 2014 Nepal have been part of several bilateral series, but the opponents were almost always teams ranked outside the top bracket. The strongest side they faced in a bilateral contest so far has been the Netherlands. Now the challenge jumps a few levels as they meet the world No.6 West Indies. Even though the Caribbean side are in a rebuilding phase that gives Nepal a slight window, they still belong to the elite group and Nepal must give everything. Opportunities like this do not come often and a strong show here could open doors for future series.

WI vs NEP – What Nepal need to upset West Indies
Nepal have shown steady improvement in recent World Cups and their progress is visible to all. They are not yet at the stage where they can consistently beat top ranked teams, but a few players can make a difference. Skipper Rohit Paudel and opener Kushal Bhurtel bring stability and attacking options at the top and middle, while Rupesh Singh is a hard-hitting finisher. If these three handle the pressure calmly the batting can deliver. On the bowling front Sandeep Lamichhane and Lalit Rajbanshi are the key spinners. West Indian batters can be vulnerable when quality spin keeps them quiet, so this pair could turn the game in Nepal’s favour.

WI vs NEP – Conclusion
This series marks Nepal’s first ever bilateral clash with a Full Member and it comes against the world No.6 West Indies. Even with their progress Nepal will do well to push the series to a 1-2 result. Winning the rubber would need a complete collapse from the West Indies, but simply gaining this experience is already a huge step forward for Nepal cricket.
WI vs NEP 2025 3rd T20I – Venue History&Analysis: Sharjah Cricket Stadium
Stadium Capacity: Around 39,000 spectators
Stadium Address: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Second Industrial Street, Industrial Area 5, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
About the Stadium:
Sharjah Cricket Stadium is a celebrated arena that combines history, innovation and record-breaking achievements in the heart of the UAE. Completed in 1982 and inaugurated in April 1984, it introduced itself with three remarkable firsts: the stadium’s maiden international match, the opening edition of the Asia Cup and the Asian Cricket Council’s first global event. Driven by the vision of Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Sharjah quickly became a preferred stop for touring teams and a gathering point for the huge South Asian community in the Gulf, giving the young nation of the Emirates a powerful symbol of cricketing identity and pride.

Bukhatir’s pioneering Cricketers Benefit Fund Series soon turned the ground into a centre of nonstop international action, hosting over two hundred ODIs by 2003 and setting a world record that remains unmatched. The pitch, noted for its slow pace and sharp turn, has rewarded skilful bowlers and demanded patience from batters, producing contests where clever tactics mattered more than brute force. Matches such as Sri Lanka’s clinical chase of Pakistan in the very first Asia Cup game, highlighted by Roy Dias’s composed fifty, captured the unique character of Sharjah and ensured its reputation as a venue where history and drama often unfold together.
