The first Test between Pakistan and West Indies in Multan, 17 wickets fell in just two sessions, with Pakistan emerging victorious by 127 runs. Pakistan’s spinners, led by Sajid Khan and Abrar Ahmed, were instrumental in dismantling the West Indies’ batting line-up in the second innings, taking nine of the ten wickets. West Indies, despite a fighting fifty from Alick Athanaze, were bowled out for just 123, chasing 251 to win. Jomel Warrican’s career-best 7 for 32 wasn’t enough to prevent Pakistan’s win, as the hosts’ spin attack proved too strong on a challenging pitch. With this victory, Pakistan lead the series 1-0.
