MI vs PBKS – IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 Match Results
updated:Punjab Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets.
| MI | PBKS |
| 203/6 (20) | 207/5 (19) |
Punjab Kings just rewrote IPL history, and Mumbai Indians were the ones in the script’s crosshairs. Chasing a daunting 203 in a rain-delayed Qualifier 2, PBKS made it look like a cakewalk, reaching the target with 7 balls and 5 wickets to spare. It was Shreyas Iyer who led the charge with a captain’s knock for the ages — 87* off just 41 balls, decorated with eight towering sixes. With this win, PBKS reach their first IPL final in over a decade, and we’re now guaranteed a brand-new champion when they face RCB in the grand finale.

Earlier, MI got off to a solid start despite losing Rohit early, thanks to Bairstow, Tilak Varma, and the ever-stylish Suryakumar. But a mid-innings wobble meant they couldn’t fully capitalize, ending at 203/6. PBKS’s chase mirrored MI’s tempo, but with Inglis and Wadhera pushing hard, and Shreyas staying ice-cold under pressure, the Kings kept ticking. Even Bumrah couldn’t stop the charge. And when Shreyas smashed four sixes in the penultimate over, it was game, set, and final-bound for Punjab.

MI vs PBKS IPL 2025 Qualifier2 – Who will face GT in Qualifier 2, PBKS or RCB?
Update: This was totally unexpected, yaar! MI had lost both league matches to GT, and even last season they couldn’t beat them. But somehow, they pulled off a solid win this time and booked their ticket to Qualifier 2. Proper shocker, I must say!
You might be wondering, why GT and not MI? Well, looking at the head-to-head stats, GT clearly have the upper hand. MI’s chances are quite slim, especially considering they’ve lost both their encounters against GT this season. That’s why GT seems like a solid pick for Qualifier 2. As for who’ll drop down from Qualifier 1, that’s a tough call. But if you ask me from the heart – I’m hoping it’s PBKS, only because I want to see RCB keep their flawless away record going strong! Haha!
