PBKS vs RCB – IPL 2025 Final Match Results
updated:Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Punjab Kings by 6 runs.
| RCB | PBKS |
| 190/9 (20) | 184/7 (20) |
After 18 long seasons of heartbreak and memes, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have finally done it — they’re IPL champions! It wasn’t a walk in the park though. Chasing 191, Punjab Kings gave them a real scare, with Shashank Singh going full superhero mode at the death with a 30-ball 61*. But Hazlewood held his nerve in the final over, and RCB snuck home by six runs. Kohli, playing the classic anchor with a gritty 43, set the tone early, while Krunal Pandya spun a web in the middle overs, grabbing two key wickets and showing why he’s got championship DNA.

Punjab Kings had their moments. Inglis looked in total control with a blazing 39, and Arshdeep’s 3-wicket final over kept things tight. But wickets kept falling just when it looked like they might take over. Credit to RCB’s bowlers for holding firm on a tricky pitch. From Bhuvi’s death-over class to Krunal’s crafty spell, it was a team effort that finally got Bengaluru across the line. Eighteen years, one trophy, zero chill, what a ride!

PBKS vs RCB IPL 2025 Final – Can RCB pull off an unbeaten away run this season?
PBKS and RCB are set to face off in the IPL 2025 final on 3rd June. This will be their fourth meeting this season, with RCB winning two of the previous three encounters and PBKS managing one win. The most recent clash on 29th May saw RCB come out on top. Speaking honestly, I’m rooting for RCB to win — it would be historic if they pull off a clean sweep of all away games in a single season.

Looking purely at the numbers, RCB seems to have the upper hand. Their bowlers completely stifled the PBKS batting line-up in that last game, not giving them a chance to settle. The big question is: can PBKS find a way to counter this bowling attack in such a short time before the final? It’s going to be a thrilling contest for sure!

PBKS vs RCB IPL 2025 Final – Key Players to Watch
Punjab Kings (PBKS’s) Key Players to Watch
- Shreyas Iyer – Iyer may have scored just 2 in Qualifier 1 vs RCB, but his recent form, especially the unbeaten 87* in Qualifier 2, shows he can deliver under pressure. Against RCB’s pace-heavy attack, his calm approach and ability to rotate strike will be key. If he anchors the innings, PBKS can build a strong platform.
- Arshdeep Singh – Arshdeep has taken 4 wickets in 6 matches vs RCB, though with a high economy of 9.54. Still, his ability to bowl yorkers and slower balls at the death makes him a threat. If he can strike early or remove key finishers like Maxwell or Karthik, it could tilt the game.
- Marcus Stoinis – Stoinis contributed with both bat and ball in recent matches, dismissing Rohit Sharma and scoring a quick 28 vs RCB earlier this season. His steady medium pace and experience under pressure make him valuable, especially in middle-over matchups against big hitters.
- Harpreet Brar – Brar dominated RCB in 2024, taking 2/13 in 4 overs, including wickets of Kohli and Patidar. His left-arm spin and tight economy (3.25) make him a great middle-over option. If he repeats that form, he could choke RCB’s scoring rate and grab momentum.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB’s) Key Players to Watch
- Virat Kohli – Kohli was the top scorer for RCB in the last match against PBKS, making a composed 73 off 54 balls with 8 boundaries. His record against PBKS is strong, and in finals, his experience is invaluable. If he anchors the innings again, RCB can build a winning total.
- Josh Hazlewood – Hazlewood took 3 wickets for just 26 runs vs PBKS on May 29, maintaining control with an economy of 6.5. His accuracy and ability to strike early or in the death overs make him one of RCB’s most reliable weapons in pressure games like a final.
- Rajat Patidar – Though Patidar scored only 12 in the last match against PBKS, he’s been a steady contributor this season and leads by example. His quick scoring in the middle overs and smart captaincy will be vital to counter PBKS’s spin-heavy middle phase.
- Krunal Pandya – Krunal was effective with the ball against PBKS, grabbing 2 wickets and conceding just 19 runs in 3 overs (economy 6.3). His left-arm spin could again trouble PBKS’s left-handers, and his lower-order hitting offers RCB depth when needed.
