Perth Scorchers blasted their way into the Challenger with a sharp, fast, and ruthless 28-run win over the Melbourne Stars at the WACA. Katie Mack and Beth Mooney lit up the night with a 107-run opening stand before Freya Kemp’s late hitting pushed the total beyond comfort. Stars actually looked alive at 1-101, with Meg Lanning and Amy Jones in full control, until the Scorchers’ spin trio flipped the script. Alana King struck first, Lilly Mills ripped through the middle, and Sophie Devine added bite as Stars collapsed for 8-59. Lanning’s exit on 49 sealed it, ending Melbourne’s season with four straight losses and sending Scorchers on to face the Sixers.
