Aiden Markram powered South Africa’s belief surge with a superb 110 that set up a record away chase in Raipur, redeeming himself after feeling responsible for the collapse in Ranchi. He attacked early, settled alongside Temba Bavuma in a 101-run stand, and kept the innings calm even as the required rate climbed. After he fell, Matthew Breetzke’s composure and Dewald Brevis’ explosive fifty shifted momentum again, leaving Tony de Zorzi and the lower order to finish the job with control. With Jansen and Bosch backing the chase, South Africa’s depth and confidence carried them past India, strengthening a growing sense of belief ahead of the series decider in Vizag.
South Africa win the 2nd ODI by 4 wickets.
We go to Vizag with the series levelled at 1-1.
