The Delhi Capitals (DC) team is based in the vibrant capital city of India. Its establishment was in 2008 as the Delhi Daredevils and rebranded in December 2018 to the Delhi Capitals. Explaining the reasoning behind the team’s name change, co-owner and chairman Parth Jindal stated, “Delhi is the power centre of the country, it is the capital, therefore the name Delhi Capitals.”
Delhi Capitals team also got a women’s team in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Both teams are co-owned by the GMR Group and the JSW Group, making for a powerful partnership on and off the field.
