Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been one of the most explosive sides in the last two editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Most of the SRH buys in IPL 2026 auction depicted the team’s mindset of strengthening their batting line-up. The IPL 2024 runner-ups failed to secure a result in their favor and finished sixth in the last edition. However, the team’s batting tempo remained the same, as they continued to play their natural game, while the bowlers were decent at defending the scores.

#1 Liam Livingstone
The English all-rounder, Liam Livingstone, was purchased for INR 13 crore by the Sunrisers. The reason for his high price was his ability to hit monstrous sixes and spin the ball both ways, while also being a sharp outfielder. Livingstone’s best-ever IPL season came in 2022, when he smashed 437 runs at a strike rate of 182.08, with four fifties. However, with an average of just 16 for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2025, he was released ahead of the auction.

Nevertheless, Liam Livingstone holds the experience of scoring 7,585 runs and picking up 143 wickets in 334 T20s. With recent knocks of 76 and 82* for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20 2025, his ball-striking abilities could enhance SRH’s firepower in the middle order.
Because good talent deserves the big stage 🧡

#2 Jack Edwards
The talented all-rounder from Australia has been in sublime form in the ongoing Big Bash League. With eight wickets at an average of just 9.37, Edwards is the top bowler in the tournament, with best figures of 5/26. Meanwhile, he has garnered 81 runs in those games at a strike rate of 184.09. If skipper Pat Cummins opts to play with two all-rounders, Edwards could be a key asset among the SRH buys in IPL 2026 auction.

#3 Shivam Mavi
With six wickets in seven games of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, Shivam Mavi produced an average performance. The right-arm pacer is not expected to be a starter, and could be a backup option for Harshal Patel/Jaydev Unadkat.

#4 Amit Kumar
Leg spinner Amit was part of the eventual champions, the Jharkhand side, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. However, he bagged only three wickets in five games at an economy of 8.30. Amit has been a net bowler in Ranchiwhenever the international teams play the game in the city. After an active tracking by the scouts, the 23-year-old became a part of the 2026 SRH squad.
Booked a front-row seat to see him in ORANGE already 😍🧡

#5 Salil Arora
The middle-order batter impressed with his consistency in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. He amassed 358 runs in eight innings at an average of 71.88 and a strike rate of 198.88, with a top knock of 125*. Arora can be a potential replacement for Aniket Verma if he fails to provide a solid finish to the SRH side in IPL 2026.
Stamped 💮 and now ready for what’s next! 💪🧡

#6 Krains Fultera
The left-arm spinner served as a net bowler of SRH in IPL 2025 and caught the team management’s attention. He has so far played only two T20s and scalped a single wicket, with an economy of over 10. The other four players who were added to the 2026 SRH squad were Praful Hinge, Shivang Kumar, Sakib Hussain, and Onkar Tarmale.

Strengths and Weaknesses of SRH 2026 Players List
The Hyderabad-based franchise holds an incredible strength in its batting department. They have the presence of a swashbuckling trio of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen, who have helped them to post 250+ totals on the board on many occasions. Meanwhile, the likes of Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Liam Livingstone will further act as fuel for the SRH side. Another area where SRH has a grip is their pace bowling department, with Pat Cummins, Harshal Patel, and Jaydev Unadkat being proven performers in T20s.
ABSOLUTE BLOCKBUSTER, THIS SQUAD 🔥📸

After the departure of skillful spinners like Adam Zampa and Rahul Chahar, SRH failed to add experienced options in this department. Although they have Harsh Dubey and Zeeshan Ansari, the duo, along with a few of the SRH buys in IPL 2026 auction, don’t exude enough confidence. On spinning tracks, the team might struggle to secure enough wickets and win games.

Overall, the 2026 SRH squad has a power-packed batting line-up, which can act as tormentors for the opposition bowlers. However, they will need to balance aggression with caution to put up big scores on the board. Meanwhile, the bowling unit will have to pull their socks up in crunch situations to pick wickets at consistent intervals.
