Gill looked particularly sharp. He attacked Noor Ahmad early, skipped down the track against spin, and reached his fifty in only 23 deliveries. Things became worse for Chennai when Sanju Samson injured his finger while collecting a delivery down the leg side from Spencer Johnson. Gill eventually fell for 64 from 37 balls, but by then Gujarat already had complete control. Sudharsan continued calmly, rotating strike and punishing loose deliveries. His 84 from 53 balls included several boundaries square of the wicket and helped him register a fifth consecutive IPL fifty.

Siraj Breaks The Chase

If CSK still had any belief during the chase, Mohammed Siraj removed it almost immediately. Samson returned to bat despite the finger injury, but lasted just one ball before edging an outswinger. Dube’s Fight Ends Quickly

Dube briefly gave CSK supporters something to cheer. He attacked Arshad Khan and Jason Holder aggressively, smashing 47 from only 17 balls.
