1. Sai Sudharsan
One of the smartest things GT did before this season kicked off was holding onto Sai Sudharsan. And boy, did that pay off! Sai was just incredible as an opener, giving even the most seasoned bowlers in the league genuine chills. It wasn’t just about the sheer volume of runs he piled up; it was the impact he had that made him invaluable for GT this season.

He was, without a doubt, the finest hitter in this recently concluded edition. By the time the season wrapped up, Sai had played 14 games and amassed a massive 759 runs. His average in IPL 2025 was a fantastic 54.21, backed up by six fifties and one century. And talk about hitting boundaries – he smashed 88 fours and 21 sixes, ending up as GT’s top run-scorer. In the end, he wasn’t just the highest run-scorer (hello, Orange Cap!) but also the batter with the most fours, which rightfully earned him the “Emerging Player of the Season” award.

2. Shubman Gill
Man, Shubman Gill just owned this season, didn’t he? He wasn’t just smashing it with the bat; he stepped up and nailed the captaincy role too. Think about it – taking his team to the playoffs at such a young age? That’s just insane, truly incredible. And here’s the kicker: he managed all that without letting the captaincy pressure mess with his batting, which, let’s be honest, was a bit of a struggle for him last year. So yeah, you can safely say he’s come a long way!
Brilliant cricket all around 👏

He’s been the absolute perfect opening partner for Sudarshan, and seriously, those two just tore apart opposition bowling attacks. The guy racked up an insane 650 runs from 15 matches, averaging a sweet 50.00. Plus, he lit up the scoreboard with 62 fours and 24 sixes, hitting 6 fifties this season.
Redefining consistency, game after game ✨

Honestly, it feels pretty harsh that he’s getting blamed for GT choking in the Eliminator against the Mumbai Indians. He was miles better than last season, and he’s still learning the ropes as a captain. We are hopeful he’ll be even more lethal next season. It’s a no-brainer to believe that he is already a lock for the 2026 GT retained list.

3. Prasidh Krishna
Honestly, who would’ve thought it? With big names like Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj in the same bowling attack, it was Prasidh Krishna who ended up stealing the show and hogging all the limelight. This guy practically ran the bowling charts all by himself in 2025, and he deserved that Purple Cap this season.

He was just on another level, snagging 25 wickets in 15 games for the Gujarat Titans. His bowling average was ridiculously good at 19.52, and his best figures of 4 for 41 just show how he completely dominated opposition batsmen. Seriously, his consistent performances were the backbone of GT’s bowling attack and made them super potent.

Whether it was that tricky bounce he could generate from a good length or just his relentless consistency with line and length, batsmen across the league just couldn’t figure him out. A lot of players helped Gujarat make that playoff push, but if you look closely, Prasidh Krishna was arguably the quiet MVP, the guy making the biggest difference without always getting the loudest cheers. That’s why he’s easily one of the 2025 GT best players.

4. Jos Buttler
You know, bringing Jos Buttler into the mix was like throwing gasoline on an already burning fire for GT’s top order. He just fit right in, becoming one of their three main batting pillars alongside Sai and Gill. It wasn’t just his incredible power-hitting that stood out; his vast international experience was a massive bonus, especially when things got tight. And let’s not forget how brilliant he was behind the stumps, making crucial contributions from every angle.

Buttler had an absolute beast of an IPL 2025 season. He consistently stepped up and rescued the Titans exactly when they needed it most. Finishing with a whopping 538 runs from 14 games, an average of 59.77, and a blazing strike rate of 163.03? Yeah, those are numbers that pretty much guarantee the GT management won’t think twice about keeping him on the 2026 GT retained list. He’s a no-brainer for their plans.

Conclusion
So, these were the 2025 GT best players who impressed us with their extraordinary performance and their outstanding contributions to the team. And we are positive that these players are going to be the core focus of the GT setup next season.
