Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd nearly pulled off the impossible as West Indies roared back from 93 for 6 to fall just three runs short in a thrilling chase. Powell’s ferocious hitting kept the visitors alive, and with 16 needed off the final over, the tension hit fever pitch. Matthew Forde cracked two boundaries before Kyle Jamieson held his nerve, dismissing Powell with a clever slower ball. The win snapped West Indies’ five-match T20I streak and restored New Zealand’s confidence after their opening loss, setting up a tantalizing decider in the series finale.
