NZ vs PAK 2025 2nd T20I: The second match to be played at University Oval

The second T20I match between New Zealand and Pakistan will be held at the University Oval in Dunedin. The first-ever encounter between the two teams at this venue took place in 2011, and back then, it was New Zealand who emerged victorious. Since then, every 2-3 years, the two teams have faced off at the University Oval for a T20I match. Over the years, both teams have alternated in claiming victories at this ground. The most recent encounter in 2022 saw Pakistan coming out on top. As things stand, both teams have won 3 matches each and lost 3, so there is no clear advantage for either side. This makes the upcoming match really hard to predict, and it could go either way.

Stadium Features: Located in Dunedin, New Zealand, the University Oval Cricket Ground at Logan Park was established in 1920, but it was officially opened in 1930. Due to size and facility constraints, the ground underwent renovations in 1979. The first international match held here was a Test between New Zealand and Bangladesh in 2008. While it has been a venue for international matches since then, the ground’s issue with water accumulation on the outfield has been a persistent concern.
