IRE vs ENG 2025 3rd ODI: The much-awaited decider, coming after two long years!
The final clash of the Ireland vs England series is scheduled for September 21st, and yes, it’s once again happening at the ever-familiar Malahide Cricket Club Ground. Now for Ireland, regardless of how the first two games pan out, this ODI series is more about building experience against a powerhouse like England. There are still plenty of areas to work on — no doubt about that — but Ireland’s growth in recent years has been truly encouraging. I mean, they even got the better of England in a T20I back in 2022! So, who’s to say an ODI win isn’t on the cards soon? What do you think? Let’s look forward to the match and hope for something special from the Irish boys!

Ireland’s Key Players to Watch
- Harry Tector – Ireland’s most consistent middle-order batter. The pitch at Malahide can be slow, so his ability to rotate strike and hit gaps is crucial.
- Curtis Campher – A clutch all-rounder who can stabilize the innings or accelerate. His medium-pace could be handy on a tired pitch.
- Mark Adair – With swing likely early on, his seam bowling could trouble England’s top order. Also a handy lower-order hitter.
- Josh Little – Ireland’s fastest bowler. If the pitch offers uneven bounce, his variations could be key in the death overs.

England’s Key Players to Watch
- Phil Salt (Opener) – A destructive starter who can take the game away in the first 10 overs. Malahide’s small boundaries suit his aggressive style perfectly.
- Ben Duckett (Middle-order Batter) – Brilliant against spin, which will be key if the pitch slows down. His quick scoring rate keeps pressure on Ireland’s bowlers.
- Tom Hartley (Spinner) – Left-arm spinners can be tricky, and Malahide’s surface might grip later. If he controls the middle overs, England can restrict Ireland.
- Reece Topley (Fast Bowler) – His height and angle make him dangerous, especially if there’s uneven bounce. Early wickets from him could put Ireland under pressure.
