Despite a shaky start with India at 19 for 2, Shubman Gill’s 87, supported by Shreyas Iyer’s 59 and Axar Patel’s 52, guided them home. England, who posted 248, were undone by a collapse in the middle order, with Ravindra Jadeja’s 3 for 26 and Harshit Rana’s 3 for 53 playing key roles in restricting them. A few late wickets created tension, but Jadeja’s edge sealed the win for India.
