Chasing 183 at Manuka Oval, Thunder was led by 19-year-old debutant Sam Konstas, who smashed 56 off 27 balls, setting a new record for the youngest and fastest fifty in Thunder history. However, after his dismissal, they found themselves needing 33 runs from the last two overs. Daniel Sams stepped up, hitting 31 runs off Lloyd Pope in the 19th over, and then sealed the win with a boundary off Jamie Overton.
