Skipper Rizwan and Saud Shakeel stitched a 100-run partnership for the third wicket but the runs did not come easy. Indian spinners bowled tight lines and did not allow the duo to score at more than 4.5 runs per over. Rizwan was dismissed as he tried to break the shackles for 46 runs at a strike rate of a mere 60. Spinners quickly ran through the Pakistani middle order, picking up wickets regularly. Pakistan ended their innings with a below-par 241-run. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets to his name in the PAK vs IND match in Champions Trophy 2025.
A Chase Masterclass by Virat Kohli

Team India started the chase with aggressive intent. Rohit Sharma started in a typical style pulling Naseem Shah for a six over square leg. While Rohit was dismissed soon, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill continued the scoring. Shubman Gill looked solid for another ton but was dismissed by a beauty from Abrar Ahmed. Even Virat Kohli appreciated the magic ball by Abrar. Virat Kohli continued on his merry way and went on to score his 51st ODI century. He also breached the 14000 run mark in One-Day International becoming the fastest cricketer to do so.
