At the age of 17 years and 168 days, Mhatre became the youngest player to have scored more than 150 runs in a List A match. He did this by scoring a scorching 181 off 117 balls against Nagaland in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, breaking the previous record held by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
