In reply, Finn Allen (50) and Cooper Connolly (48*) guided the Scorchers home with 33 balls to spare, overcoming early drama with dropped catches and on-field tensions. Doggett and Cameron Boyce’s record-breaking ninth-wicket stand (84*) was a highlight for the Strikers, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Scorchers from cruising to victory.
