ASM vs PDC – Assam Won the Game Despite the Rain

Just when the rain tried to stop a good match, Assam did it. By reaching to enough scoring rate, finish the game in 9 overs, thanks to Sibsankar Roy who used his full strength to catch up the weather and asking rate with 3 sixes and 4  boundaries which covered up the expensive ECON rate of 9.58 by their bowlers. On the other side, Puducherry seized the chance to push the leads in short formed game, Akash Kargave’s 56 runs with 5 sixes was a huge assist for them and a tuff obstacle for Assam to cross. However, with Assam won by VJD method with just 2 runs, Assam received their third win the SMAT game.

ASM vs PDC – Sibsankar put on a show in chasing

Second to bat, Assam already took on a much pressure to make the chase successful, under the bad raining weather condition, the catch must be much harder form them to finish. Just at the right time, Sibsankar Roy came in clutch, scored almost half of the score of the team, and was not out till the last second, 43 runs with 3 sixes and 4 boundaries carried the win by 2 runs over the opponent, Saahil Jain also stood with him to the last moment, scored 20 runs. All of that mattered to a uneasy win during the rain, Assam showed their duration despite the condition and managed to take down the game.

ASM vs PDC – Akash Kargave and Arun Karthik fought hard

Behind a close game losing, Akash and Arun separately contributed 56 and 41 runs, Akash even had 5 sixes and 3 boundaries, the score was high for them in only 12 overs. Unfortunately, before the rain came, no other score reached double digits, and 125 in 12 overs was still impressive but could be better. Then Assam caught up; since the huge rain, their innings was shorter. If Assam’s batters lost their chance to speed up the chase, a likely losing outcome was there. However, Assam grabbed the opportunity without hesitation, taking down the game with enough scoring rate. Akash and Arun fought hard but all for nothing in defeat.
