Team India New Jersey Sponsor Finally Revealed – And It’s Not Who You Think!

India secures a new shirt deal after a long search post-Dream11 exit. Apollo Tyres becomes the Team India new jersey sponsor, replacing Dream11. The India Cricket Team new sponsor will debut during the upcoming West Indies series. Browse the report to see more details.

It’s been a while since fans have seen a proper logo on Team India’s kit. After a somewhat awkward stretch without a jersey sponsor, the wait is finally over. The Team India new jersey sponsor has officially been named, and it’s none other than Apollo Tyres.

The Dream11 Exit:Not Exactly a Dream Ending

So, what happened to Dream11, you ask? Well, their exit wasn’t entirely voluntary. In early 2025, the Indian government rolled out the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, which effectively banned real-money gaming companies from sponsoring sports teams. That hit Dream11 hard and forced them to cancel their deal with the BCCI almost overnight.

Now, the BCCI isn’t exactly short on rules. Their sponsorship policy bans anything remotely shady like gambling, crypto, tobacco, and even banking or cold beverages. Dream11’s departure left the India Cricket Team new sponsor slot wide open, just as the Asia Cup rolled around. The result? Team India showed up at the tournament looking sharp on the field but missing that all-important chest logo. A bit of a strange sight, to be honest.

Apollo Tyres Steps In:Big Deal, Big Bucks

Enter Apollo Tyres, the new kid on the cricketing block. According to The Times of India, they’ve clinched the Team India new jersey sponsor deal after a pretty competitive bidding war. They weren’t the only ones in the race, Canva and JK Cements threw their hats in too, but Apollo came out on top with a hefty INR 579 crore bid.

This isn’t just a short-term gig either. The deal runs from 2025 to 2027 and covers 142 matches—121 bilateral games and 21 ICC fixtures. That’s a whole lot of cricket. On average, Apollo will shell out around INR 4.77 crore per match, which is a significant bump from the INR 4 crore Dream11 used to pay. This company is a Gurgaon-based tyre giant with a presence in over 100 countries. It’s their first major foray into India cricket, and they’re not being shy about it. In the official announcement, Neeraj Kanwar, vice-chairman and MD of Apollo Tyres, said:

“Cricket’s unmatched popularity in India and worldwide makes it an honour for us to become the National Team Lead Sponsor of Team India. This partnership is about national pride, strengthening consumer trust, and showcasing Apollo as a true leader in our category, while supporting Indian sport at the highest level and creating unforgettable moments for fans worldwide.”

And the BCCI seemed just as chuffed. Devajit Saikia, BCCI Secretary, added:

“The arrival of Apollo Tyres as our new sponsor is a testament to the hard work and consistent performance of our teams… This is more than a commercial agreement; it’s a partnership between two institutions that have earned the trust and respect of millions.”

Strong words. Big expectations.

When Do We See New Jersey?

While the contract is signed, sealed, and all very official, the India Cricket Team new sponsor logo hasn’t yet made its on-field debut. The new-look jerseys are expected to be unveiled just before the two-Test home series against the West Indies, starting October 2nd. So, if you’re dying to see the new logo on the Indian jersey, hang tight. It’s coming soon.

Interestingly, the sponsor will get a soft launch earlier during the India A vs Australia A series, beginning September 30 in Kanpur. That’ll be the first public sighting of the logo stitched on India blues. As for the Asia Cup, India went through it without a sponsor logo on their chests, but it didn’t seem to hurt their form one bit. They’ve bulldozed their way into the Super-4 stage, with strong wins over UAE and Pakistan. So while they may not have had the Team India new jersey sponsor visible just yet, their performance spoke louder than any branding.

Conclusion

With Apollo Tyres now firmly in place as the India Cricket Team new sponsor, Indian cricket steps into a new commercial era. The partnership is massive in value, yes, but it’s also symbolic of how far the sport has come, and how attractive it remains to big-ticket brands, even with the regulatory hurdles. Will the tyres match the traction of the team’s form? Only time will tell. But for now, fans can expect to see a slick new kit, a shiny new sponsor, and hopefully, plenty more wins on the board.
